A month for the newborn, 0-3 for the first 2 months, 3-6 for 2-4 months, 6-9 for 4-6 months and 9-12 when they were 6-9 months. My sons were generally one size ahead.

My daughter was in newborn until she was around maybe 4 months old. Then, 3 months, and she is 10 months now, and she wears the 6 months.

Never, mine was born bigger than newborn, so he went to size 1-3 months right away, then he was 6 months around 3 months, now he’s 6 months and he wears some 9 months but he’s 12.

he was always a big boy, and I regret buying so much stuff for him cuz everything is new and most things he only wore once and some never…

1 week… once she was back to her birth weight they didn’t fit anymore. She was Born 9lbs 3oz.

it all depends on the brand and how its made… i know with arters my daughter can still fit in newborn short sleeve onesies but long sleeve onsies she is in 6 months and pants are 3 to six monts my daughter is almost 4 months she is tall and skinny baby

Of course this all depends on the size of your baby when they are born and how fast they put on weight plus how tall they are. Liam was 7lbs 1oz 19 1/2″ and was not in newborn clothes long at all!!! I only had a few sets. He was in 0-3 for a tiny bit also. He started wearing 6 month clothing around 4 months. Congrats to you! :D

My baby didn’t wear newborn sizes she went straight to the 0-3 month size. Right now she’s 2 1/2 months old and wears some 3 month sizes and some 6 month sizes.

Answer by Rae’s Momma
She was in newborn for 4-5 months. Around 5 months she moved into 0-3 til she was 6 months old then she’s been in 3-6 for a while now. She’s 10 months old and fits in some 3-6 and some 6-9.

That isn’t very common though, she was a preemie. Usually babies are right on for their sizing and some are ahead. One of my friend’s baby was in size 12 months at 4 months old.

I never put my daughter in newborn clothing as she was 8lbs 10oz at birth. She probably could have fit them but at 2 weeks old she was fitting 0-3 months perfectly so newborn would have been a huge waste of money for me. We moved her into 6 month clothing at 7 weeks old and now at 12 weeks she is fitting most of them perfectly. I find she outgrows the sleepers before she outgrows 2 piece outfits. Some 6 month outfits are a little big on her, but not big enough that she cant wear them now. Alot of her 3 month sleepers dont fit at all. She cant stretch her legs out in them. At 11 weeks she was 12lbs 10 oz

  2. I had outfits that looked like preemie size that were labeled NB & others that were the same size as some 6mo outfits labeled NB. Just like women’s clothes, you wear one size in one brand and a completely different size in another brand, there is no universal size, it’s whatever fits :)

  3. My baby is only two months old but he was in newborn clothes up until about six weeks old; now he’s in mostly 0-3 month sizes, there are still some brands he wears a newborn size in though (Garanimals and Carter’s onesies). He’s still in newborn Huggies, too. He’s 9 lbs 2.5 oz and if he gains an ounce a day like he should he’ll be about three and half months old when he hits the weight limit of 12 lbs and needs to move into 3-6 months size.

  4. My daughter wore her new born clothes for one month and had a new outfit for each day that month. I am glad I made use of all those newborn sized clothes because she outgrew them very quickly!!

  5. My son didn’t wear Newborn sizes at all. He is only 7 weeks old and his 3 month sizes are getting small, so he will be moving to 6 month sizes soon.

  6. i wouldn’t suggest buying that many newborn sizes. Babies grow very quickly. Mine only wore newborn size for about a week and i got tired of them not buttoning in the crotch area . the diaper takes up like half the outfit anyways when they are really little. Best to just get a 0-3 month size and let them grow into it.

He was in newborn size clothes til about 6 weeks or so, and he was in size 0 to 3 month old clothes til about 3 months old, and then he was in size 3 to 6 months til just about 6 months old lol, so basically what the clothes sizes were he was in.

But then he got really big after 9 months old lol and now at 19 months old he is mostly size 3T clothes but some size 4T clothes too, and pretty soon i think the 3T stuff isn;t gonna fit anymore lol, he’s a tall boy just like his daddy.

    Hope this helps, :D

my son could fit into newborn clothes until about 6 or 7 weeks old. He could fit into 0-3 month clothes until about 3 1/2 months. He is 6 1/2 months now & wears like half 3-6 month stuff & half 6-9 month stuff.

  9. Newborn – one month
3-6 month – until he was 5 months
