Question: how can I safely store smocked baby dresses?
I’ve got some cotton baby dresses, the kind with smocked necks and some with smocked sleeves, that are about twenty years old. I don’t plan on having kids for 5 or 10 years, but I want to keep them safe and in good enough condition that my babies can wear them one day. How can I best store them ?

you know those bags you can get that you seal and then vacuum the air out of them? that’s your best best if you are doing it yourself, you can have them professionally packed to prevent them yellowing with age.

This is a hard one because fabric tends to rot no matter what. You much make sure that the dresses are clean. Either wash them good or take them to the cleaners. Store them in an air tight plastic container away from the light, cold, heat and moisture. Good luck. Hope they do well.
