Any of your favorite recipes that don’t include those foods can be pureed in a blender or food processor-I can think of too many to list here.

I often make my son a “Ploughman’s Lunch”… I include fruit, vegetables, a protein, and a starch

For example… last night I gave him a handful of raspeberries, carrot sticks, good cheddar cheese and whole wheat crackers.

The day before, I steamed some acorn squash (add a little cinnamon & butter….sometimes a drop of maple syrup) and mashed that for him. And I made a chicken salad that I serve to him on whole wheat bread. And sliced fresh peaches.

You may want to prepare homemade chicken soup for your toddler: nttp://www.eat-well-save-money-recipes.com/chicken-soup-recipe.html

There are all types of great little pastas your child could like.

My recipe calls for whole tomatoes. Just skip that, the soup will still be good. It mainly adds color.

Hope that helps,
Anne

I took a look (its been a loooong time since I had a toddler in the house) and it appears that these recipes are child friendly. Remember, you can always switch ingredients. If you find a recipe you like, substitute away!

Question–: In need of healthy toddler lunch recipes!?
I asked this in the Toddler section and got some good responses. I wanted to see what you folks thought as well:

Can anyone recommend some healthy lunch recipes or menus for toddlers? They need to be on-the-go lunches.

It would be a bonus if my husband and I would happily chow down on the meals as well, but not necessary.

Can anyone recommend any recipes or websites?

Many thanks!
