I need to find a delivery service for my 7 year son (healthy diet food) I am a single mom and have little or no time to cook for him.

I have tried out every diet known to mankind but nothing worked as good as acai berry. I know they say that pills don’t work, but they definitely worked for me, and they’ve been shown on CNN too. I’m not in San Francisco and can’t answer your question directly, but can give you a few ideas if no one responds:

1) Get a quick consult with a local nutritionist to see if they can recommend a service.

2) Check with your child’s school to see if they are aware of any services.

3) Interview a few local personal chef’s (sometimes they offer services where they come to your home, with a bag of groceries, and cook up a week’s worth of food in your kitchen, using your pots and pans–typically they’ll wash all of the dishes that they used. They also individually wrap all of the food and put it in the appropriate storage: fridge, freezer, etc., for the week.) They could probably custom make a week’s menu for both you and your son based on your requirements.

Oh, and don’t forget to sign him up for a sporting activity or sports day camp–sports are super for kids!

If you hate baby-related activities, take her out to lunch with other people once in awhile.

I am going away for the whole day tomorrow . My 14 year old child and 12 year old will be left alone and I dont want them eating any junk food why I am out. They are not allowed to cook with stove, oven, or microwave. Are their any healthy snacks my kids could make without cooking?
They can cook with everything except when I’m not home.
Thanks every one but I need something that they could cook with their hands and spend a little time doing.

Your children should be responsible enough to use the microwave…. they are 14 and 12!! You need to trust them.

What about a Turkey or Chicken wrap. You can cook the chicken the night before or they could use lunch meat. Spinach wrap with lettuce, tomato’s, meat, sliced cheese, red onion (option), ranch. They could dip the wrap in the ranch or put it inside the wrap. Carrots and celery for dipping too. fresh fruit.

Sandwiches, fruit, sliced vegetables with dip or peanut butter, dried fruit, a smoothie These are my suggestions. Might I also suggest that it is time to teach(or trust) your kids to cook, they will soon be on their way in the world and knowing how to cook is a life skill.

14 and 12? First you need to teach them to use the microwave. Lots of kids can cook feasts by that age.

But since you dont have time- veggies and a yogurt based dip, cereal and milk, sandwhiches, a pasta salad wth cheese, salami, olives…

At ages 14 and 12 the last thing that you should be doing is planning a meal for your children to prepare while you are out, even allowing for no cooking with appliances. In just 3 years your eldest is going to be GONE – on his or her own.

If all else fails I am sure they can figure out peanut butter and jelly or a tossed salad.

Prepare some fresh fruit for them and keep it at eye-sight in the fridge. Studies have proven that people are more likely to grab what they see first so keep the healthy things where they can be easily seen. Clean and cut grapes, strawberries, apples, melon, and anything else you would like. Toss together in a bowl for a simple fruit salad. Seeing a variety of fruits makes the dish more appealing.

Keep some slices of cheese, sliced turkey or ham, and crackers, bread, or tortillas/wraps around so they can make their own cracker stackers (lunchables), wraps, or sandwiches.

Keep pizza or cheesy breadsticks in the fridge covered with foil or plastic wrap or in a closed container and put some pasta sauce in a tupperware for easy access. I happen to love cold pizza and breadsticks!

Some other things that are good to have around are baby carrots, bagged lettuce, pretzels, baked tortilla chips, salsa, light dressings, skim milk, low sugar cereal, low sugar fruit snacks, granola bars, and string cheese.

okay what about ants on a log ? celery sticks ,peanut butter and raisins . spread peanut butter on the celery sticks and then add the raisins. also string cheese ,carrot sticks , and some whole wheat crackers .
