Q&A–: Is Organic baby food good for babies?
My mom got me three jars of Organic baby food, Butternut Squash and Corn. I was just wondering if it would be good for my daughter.
The answer in the following: (Hint: The answer is not necessarily.)
Answer by sinistermooess
of course its good for them, pesticide free and all
Answer by qtiequawn
It really depends… Are you just starting her on solids. If so there are items you want to stay away from. The basics you want to start her with are peas, corn and squash. I wouldn’t do corn at all, until a while later. Some foods are easier on your babies stomach then others and you need to keep them on one food for atlease 3 to 6 days before going to another. But organic food is good for everyone!

It’s great for your daughter…. and it actually tastes like veggies!!!

Organic means that the food was not grown with any Chemicals and Chemical pesticides were not sprayed on it. So yes it is okay for your baby. I eat a lot of organic food and use organic products because they are better on the environment and I took the time to read some of the tests they did to determine if a chemical was safe or not and was quite shocked to find out some of them were inconclusive and they determined that it was okay even thought they didn’t know the effect it had on the water systems and soil! the way I look at it is I can’t ingest the pesticide and not get sick from it then why would I want it sprayed on my food. That stuff gets in the soil and into the root system you can’t tell me it’s not in the fruit or vegetable.

Yes it is better than the regular baby food when I can afford it that is what I buy it is more expensive

Most parenting magazines and my doctor says it is fine. But you are going to have to try it and see if your child likes it or is allergic to it. If you have the time I suggest just making your own. They sell baby food processors for and buying the fruits and veggies is a lot cheaper than jar food.

Organic is always better than those preserved foods. It’s healthier and does not contain chemicals and pesticides. However, I would still prefer food you yourself prepared. If you have a chopper or a food processor, then it would be a breeze to prepare food for your baby. You can just boil vegetables, or peel fruits, mix and match them, put them in the food processor and voila – you now have a ready to eat food for your baby and its much much cheaper than buying organic food. You can even be sure that no salt or sugar is added to it. That is what i served to my daughter, and now that she’s 9 years old, she LOVES vegetables. Most often than not, she picks vegetables over meat and she even ate bitter gourd when she was just 2 years old. Hope this had helped you!

ORGANIC IS BETTER FOR SOME CHILDREN NOT ALL IT DOSE NOT HURT TO TRY IT OK THE ONLY DIF IS THAT ALL ORGANIC IS NON DAIRY THAT MEANS NO ANIMAL AT ALL SO JUST TRY TO SEE IF SHE LIKES IT
Answer by farmersdaughter
It’s fine for baby, but I personally wouldn’t waste my own money on it. Regular baby food or homemade is just as good. If mom want’s to pay for it, let her, but I wouldn’t. Organic to me, is a fancy word for “you’re gonna pay more”.
