!!Good advice :At about six months, babies starts to eat real food. Rice cereal and mushy veggies turn to combinations of fish, meat, eggs, legumes, and vegetables—yep
I’m not trying to criticize anyone, by any means, in the way they choose to parent their children. These are just some of the facts I have come across. Links to the WHO website: www.who.int whqlibdoc.who.int Organizations that recommend waiting at LEAST 6-8 months: •World Health Organization •UNICEF •US Department of Health & Human Services •American Academy of Pediatrics •American Academy of Family Physicians •American Dietetic Association •Australian National Health and Medical Research Council •Royal Australian College of General Practitioners •Health Canada Knowing when your baby is ready 1) Can sit up and hold head steady. 2) Look out for the extrusion reflex. If present, it’s still too early. 3) Making chewing motions 4) Is at least 15 pounds (most of the time) or doubled birth weight Here’s the website that focuses on unwanted advice: www.homemade-baby-food-recipes.com I hope this is useful to some parents out there who are seeking to educate themselves in child-rearing.

i dont have kids but i find this interesting… i just talked to my mom and she said oh yeah that why she has allergies and also her older of her 2 younger brothers… cuz both when my grandma had my mom and that uncle of mine she wanted to quickly get pregnant and have another child so she had to stop breast feeding and they were middleclass close to lower class so they couldnt afford formula
i am getting a realy big
FAKE NICE VIBE from you
less is more
you are cute tho
I think I am deff going to wait until 6 months for my baby because I also research alot of things like you do and it just makes sense!! It surprises me how many people took offense to this video lol I don’t get it, it’s your opinion and your just telling them what you have found online and in books about it!! Well Thanks for making this video
100% agree!! My mil thinks every time he cry he wants solids and it is so not the case!! Lol
I am expecting my first baby soon and I found your video extremely helpful. Thank you! On a second note, I dnt think its possible for you to have been any LESS offensive in this video, I thought u were very polite and tactful. If people don’t wanna hear your opinion then they just shouldn’t watch!!
I didn’t know that thanks for informing us all it’s very useful.
@kiwinasan78 she’s NOT saying you’re killing your baby. she didn’t even say that, so you can’t put quotes around it. and she isn’t saying that you’re making your baby obese either. She’s telling people what she has read and how she’s using it, because so many people have been asking why she waited.
@SupaDupaCwazy I did, yes, and I can also read, thanks, but still she did offend me and others. It’s not so much about the things she says, but about how she says them. Besides, you can’t say you are “killing” your baby (or making him obese) by starting solids early and expect people not to freak out. She could have passed on her message by stating other facts and it would have been more effective…
Thank you for sharing! I really enjoyed your video. I learned alot.
Thank you for sharing! I really enjoyed your video.
i started feeding my son at 5 1/2 months and he was completely ready for it and just like jess i researched before doing it. But i was told that because my son wasnt interested in his milk to start weaning and so we did. People shouldnt take offense to what she is saying as this is what she has found out about starting solids and that is what she is doing to her daughter all babies and parenting styles are different
@TopekaSoHappy I wouldnt be sharing that your a 15 year old mother, if I were you…
I love your hair in this vid
and people need to stop taking things so seriously this is just your opinion!
@kiwinasan78 excuse me, but did you LISTEN to the 5 million times she said she wasn’t meaning to offend or criticize? AND it’s in the box at the bottom.
@babylily8910 Kay shut up she’s sharing what she thinks there’s nothing wrong with that it’s a free country so shut your mouth I may be 15 but I know what it’s like to have a child I have twins, there’s nothing wrong with sharing what you heard like what she said she’s not trying to criticize anyone.
theres new facts been proven . scientists are now saying that if you wait til 6 months, your child is more likely to have allergies. google thinkbaby website x
This was just posted TODAY on Yahoo’s main page. I think you should have a look at it, and read up a little more..
Study questions breastfeeding alone for first 6 months is the title if you have to go back an look for it. I’m not able to post links.
My baby is 3 months 1 week old and he is 16 pounds, he is NOT ready for solids. Yet he doubled his birth weight. Can you imagine when he is six months!!!
I don’t mean to sound snotty here, but you say that you didn’t want to criticize people who do other things, but you basically just said that babies that start solids at 4 months will be fat and sickly.
My son started solids at 4 months by suggestion by my pediatrician, because he was literally making himself sick drinking formula because he was so hungry. He’s now 10 months, and is eating finger foods, walking, and starting to talk.
It’s not really as simple as deciding 6 months and no sooner.
Jess this is a great video. No matter what people are saying on here, I think this video is well done. Thanks for taking out your time to research!
agreed jess, ive been watching your videos since your first one when i was pregnant also, i do just as much research as you!
WOW alot of banter on this video…
In my opinion she’s a young mum, doing a bloody fantastic job, and i sense more EXCITEMENT in jess’ voice of the research that she’s found and is willing to share with us, the subscribers. Jess doesn’t HAVE to make these videos, and people’s negative and awful nit picking attitudes on here is really going to make her want to continue videos?! i think not! Jess’s videos are great and she’s just an enthusiastic young mother. Love your spirit and videos.
Wow.. I can’t believe all these people that are getting their panties in a bunch over a frickin’ youtube video. If no one likes the opinions presented, you don’t have to follow them. It’s your baby, raise it how you want. If your baby is healthy and happy, who the hell cares what someone says in a video. I’m 25, and when I was a baby my parents gave me straight milk. I turned out just fine. Waiting or not waiting doesn’t make you a bad parent. Not feeding your baby at all does.
@babylily8910 You take your opinions to a RUDE level. Also if you have such a strong opinion, then why dont you make a damn video about it just like she did instead of criticizing hers. That to me seems pretty childish.
@NicolesBeauty I’m sorry but do you really expect someone to upload a video on such a controversial topic and not expect others to disagree? If i want to give an opinion then i will. So keep out, just a thought!!
