Q&A–: What percentage of a baby comes from the father?
Someone educated… I’m being told by my other half that 99% of a baby is made up of the father, and that the mother “only has the egg”.. whatever!! We carry them for 9 months & give birth!! All the man does is get off!! Anyway, my question is… seriously… is a baby really 99% daddy 1% mommy??
By the way, in case you’re wondering, I KNOW IT’S 50/50… lol…. I just want to show him that he’s wrong, because just me telling him doesn’t do it!
I told him to tell that to my gyne & they’d kick him out of the office, laughing all the way!! Since I said that, he says the wedding is off… YEAH, Whatever!

Um no. Atleast on a DNA level, it’s 50 50. What you get in a kid is what comes out dominant from that match of daddy genes and mommy genes.

what your husband is saying to you is nonsense….if i remember correctly both parents at the time of conception give 23 chromosones each to the developing fetus, we all have a genetic make-up which is made up of these chromosones.

Unless you never speak, it’s pointless. The baby only hears the tone of your voice, not what you are saying. Eating fish does not make your baby smarter, but fish does help improve development.

It is a very good start to read to baby while its the womb and about eating fish, a certain amount is healthy for you & baby but it doesnt make baby more smarter.

You can talk to your baby and read whenever you want. In the womb,once they are born. Both are a good idea. It helps them develop good verbal skills.

Fish won’t really make them smarter per-se. But it’s good brain food for you. keeps you alert and focused.

Your baby CAN hear your voice, but like another answerer already stated, only in tones. Same goes for music.

Omega 3 and 6 are the fatty acids that are found in fish that help with brain development in the womb. Just be careful that you don’t eat any predatory fish (tuna, salmon, etc) as they can be high in mercury and mercury can cause defects. If you can find a nutritional supplement that has Omega 3 & 6 to take with your pre-natal vitamins, you should be good to go.
