Circo Brand (target) Infant Clothing?

How old is your baby and what size does he/she wear in this brand?
My son turned 5 months old today and we just had to go from the 9mo to the 12mo size. (He was only 16lbs/ 26″ at his 4mo check up. Who sizes these things, lol.)

  1. STOP BEING JEALOUS

Our 6.5 month old is 21 lb and wears 18 month old clothes from Target

  2. Circo brand in general is small for age in their sizes, so does Sprockets. Baby Gap sizes large, and for boys Gymboree and the Children’s Place also size large. I have decided that the gold standard is exhibited by Carters whose clothes are generally in-between the extremes. I do know that moms of girls have found Gymboree and the Children’s Place seemingly small for their girls.
Kind of hard to buy ahead if the sizes are so discrepant, isn’t it? Carter’s follows the growth charts so the average size at a certain age is what they size to (their website indicates age, weight and length for sizing). Don’t know about the rest. For myself it’s a little tricky since we rely on resale clothes for out two boys and I have to keep in mind sizing when I buy clothes for them.

  3. Blah blah blah

Too funny you should ask this. My son is wearing a t-shirt today that we got at Target and is Circo Brand. It says “Taking Mammoth Steps” and has a picture of a Woolly Mammoth on it.
He’s 7 months and the shirt is a size 9 months.
I haven’t had a problem with the T’s or shorts, but the pajamas are awful. He’s completely outgrown the 12 months sizes in those. Anything one piece fits terrible.

  4. “He was only 16lbs/ 26″ at his 4mo check up.”
Actually, that is pretty big for a 4 month old, so it’s normal that he would wear bigger clothes. It has more to do with weight and height than the baby’s actual age.
My daughter is 19.5 months, and weighs about 23 pounds. And she wears 18-24 month clothes in about ALL brands.

  5. Johnny's Mommy

Johnny’s in the 12 month size on the Circo brand in the shirts/onesies. He’s still in the 9 month size for pants/shorts (he’s got a little waist).
He’s around 18 lbs and I have no idea how long he is now (we don’t go for another check up for another 2 weeks, lol).

  6. my son is 7 months old weighs 22lbs and depending on who makes the clothes he wears any were from 12-18 months. I say the samething . You really can not go by the months anymore but by the weight and height .
The Circo brand he wears 12 months so far the 18 months are a little big but not by much .

  7. My son is almost three and he wears 18month jeans and shorts from Circo. He wears usually 24 month or 2T shirts. He’s a little guy! He only weighs like 26 pounds.
thumbs down for telling my child’s clothing size… um… why?
The doctor says he is normal for his size. His father was tiny as a baby too.

  8. your telling me……… I registered at target…… so I have a lot of that brand of clothing…… my son has been wearing his 12 month clothes for the past month….. he’s five months old…. and 18 lbs. It makes things really confusing….. especially when people are asking what size clothes they should buy him.

  9. Oh that’s weird! My baby is 7 months and weighs about 17.5 pounds/27.5″. The 6-9 month size fits her well. She would just swim in a 12 month size!

  10. My daughter is 4 and a half months old and I’ve been buying clothes aged 6 months upwards for a couple of months now and she isn’t particularly big baby either.

  11. Aly & Becca's Mommy

I LOVE target clothes for babies. I’ve noticed that Circo brand runs a little small than other brands. My girl is 19lbs and wheres a size 24 when I put on Circo brand clothes.

  12. My daughter is 4 months old. Doesn’t Circo go by like 3 or 6 months? She can fit into 6 month ones or 3-6 of other brands. She can still fit into some 3 month ones, though.

  13. Circo sizes better when their toddlers I noticed. Quality clothes though.

  14. I don’t know about circo, but Emma is almost nine months old and can wear clothing from nine months up to eighteen months.

  15. I know- my son is 11 months- but he’s been in 12 month size in tops since 7 months- you just have to size it up by the eye. They need baby dressing rooms.

  16. Evalee's Mommy

My daughter is 5 1/2 months and wears the 6 month size…she is on the smaller side though.

  17. #2 Due 7/6/09!

My son is 11 months old and wearing 24 month or 2T in circo brand. He is a big boy. :)

  18. Has anyone had anyone trouble with black oily looking spots on Circo products when they washed? My daughter has a week old daughter and when she washed items beforehand came out with spots that I had to soak and soak and scub and soak somemore to get out. We thought it was possibly her washer, but I just did a few bath towels (all Circo) in my washer with the same results. If other garments are washed with them, the whole load is a mess. Any advice?
