child stroller|At what age will a child officially outgrow a stroller?
Welcome!,news book blog: ask a toddler or healthy food for children.
!!Good advice :It’s very easy to get sucked into the constant advertising of baby powders, creams, and lotions. But the best baby lotion is plain old olive oil—cheap, natural, and un-perfumed. As for other products, keep it as natural, organic, and fragrance-free as possible.

i think it depends on the child. of course their are the weight restrictions you have to watch for but i have a 16mth an a 4yr old and when we go on real long walks or to an all day outing like a fair or something i take a double stroller for when he gets tired. Also i found when i had my second child the older one wanted everything that the baby had so if i put the bby in the stroller he wanted to be in the stroller to he has since outgrown that stage but ya when i first had the baby he wanted the same treatment as the baby

probably by about 3, my daughter is 2 and a half and walks quite a bit when were out, but always take the pushchair incase, becasue she never wants to walk the way i wat her to and she goes so slowly! at about 3 u could use a single pushchair with a buggy board, i think they just gradually top needing it.

Depends on the size of the child, and the size of the stroller.
Luke has had a few strollers. I just had to get rid of one because it was too narrow for him, and hig legs were too long for it.
The one he has now is wide enough, but still a little short. I’ll just have to put up with it though.
I plan on getting rid of the buggy for most things by about 2 years old, but want to keep it around til he’s about 2.5 yo. I’d say you definitely need a double!

Our daughter is 2.5 and just hit the “too big” for stroller age. We went to the zoo this past weekend and just rented the wagon, she mainly walked. But last year at 18 months she would have never walked around the zoo for a long period of time. I would say because your children are going to be 15 months apart, a double stroller would be a good investment and really helpful! I am 32 weeks with my second, luckily because the girls will be almost 3 years apart, I do not have to purchase a double stroller.

some kids ride in strollers till there are 6 or 7 just on the kidd. i would get a double stroller
Answer by you don’t know me GP
My tired 6 year old still rides in a stroller. Mostly she walks, but she is very concerned about having enough stroller space for her when we go to Disney World. I never bought a double stroller until my third was on his way. I used a sling far more than I used a stroller.

They outgrow baby stroller pretty fast (around 18 months). But, they use toddler stroller for a very long time(until 5, 6 or maybe even 7). My daughter is 4 and she loves stroller. It helps especially as she has lots of growing pains.
Answer by Pippin
There is no ‘official’ age. It depends on many factors (age of the child, how well he walks, and how long the excursion is. A child who can walk down to the neighbor’s house or around the grocery store may be exhuasted an hour into a visit to the zoo or the mall.
At 15 months I can say your toddler will definitely need a stroller for quite a few months yet. So you could either buy a double stroller, or use a sling for the baby and a stroller for the toddler.

child stroller–: How old is too old to have your child in a stroller?
It seems that children are staying in their strollers at an older age then when I was a child. How old do you think is too old to be pushed around in a stroller?

I don’t think there is any particular age it depends on the child, if the child is the type to run off on you it’s safer to keep them in the stroller. I see a lot of those in the shopping mall, but then I guess it’s hard to manage a stroller and a shopping trolley as well “oh the joys of motherhood”
Answer by Rawr…. I’m a dinosaur!!!
I stopped going in the stroller everywhere when I was about 18 months and the same with my brother. I would say when the kid’s legs are strong enough to support themselves running and walking. I believe my mum stopped taking the stroller out with me and my brother when we were about 3. The stroller was only used to take us from out home to the beach and back or if we had hurt ourselves. I’m a strong believer of if the child can walk freely then it shouldn’t be in the stroller so i say 2- 2 and a half is the right time to stop putting your kid in the stroller as the muscles in their legs won’t grow strong.

it all depends on the child. My 3and half year old no longer rides in the stroller unless we are out at the zoo aquarium etc. However my 15month old that loves to run everywhere, is in the stroller. I don’t like chasing him all the time when we are out, LOL id never get my shopping done!.
I would say older than 4 is too old to be in the stroller, but to each their own.

my son is 3. He is basically only in the stroller if he is asleep or we are somewhere like the zoo. If we are somewhere like the zoo, I take the stroller so I have a place to put drinks, snacks, diaper bag, etc instead of being a pack mule
Answer by OGUN
When is child is able to run and climb stairs with ease (s)he is old enough to have the strength, agility and stamina to keep up when out with and mommy and daddy.
Answer by Lorlor
I would say four and half or five. But five is pushing it. Honestly it all depends on where you are going. If you plan to walk far, around a amusement park or a huge crowded place and you even get tired, imagine the little legged person walking next to you.
