www.thenaturalguide.com – Holly Riley is the parent of a fully recovered autistic child, her son Quinn. Quinn was diagnosed with Autism around the age of two and yet in a just a few short years, through the use of dietary change, biomedical treatment and traditional autism therapies, Quinn was able to come out of the Autism fog. In this video Holly shares what she did to adopt the gluten free casein free diet, which was central to reversing Quinn’s Autism. In this video, Holly shares • That dietary intervention was one of the most important steps to Quinn’s recovery. • Once all dairy and gluten was stopped, Quinn became more connected to his surroundings and his health dramatically improved. • She used biomedical treatment which also helped recover her son. • All Defeat Autism Now Doctors recommend changing the diet of an Autistic child. • Behavior improves and health improves when dairy and gluten are removed. • A great resource is the Talk About Curing Autism website. • Rice milk replaced Quinn’s cow milk. • Replace dairy with water or a grain beverage. • Start with one meal at a time, such as with breakfast first. • Gluten and casein are proteins. • Fruit and vegetables are better snacks than processed foods. • Avoid soy because the protein in gluten and casein is similar to soy protein. • The best milk substitute is clean water. • Read all labels on all foods and make sure the products are free of malt, sugar, food starch, gluten or dairy. Buy vegan products. • Do …

breast milk isn’t vegan is it? why isn’t your baby raw?
Those disrespectful children today need respect. That is how they will learn to respect.
I like her idea about long-term nursing.
One question about the daylight diet: what does it mean for regions where days are much shorter in the winter? Here in Canada it gets dark sometimes before 5 o’clock in the winter!
the hardest struggle has been since the time change. I am trying to adjust my sleep along with my eating schedule. Seems so hard sometimes.
@Ejahi Wow…looks like we’re doing the same thing…lol. I’ve been trying my darnedest to not eat at night. Been doing it for so long now…but I’ve have started just eating fruits or drinking green drinks in the evening…and just NOT thinking of food.
I think that all you really need at night is lots of water to produce a good milk supply. Really if you are eatng all into the night and getting gas and bloating so will the baby. So if a daylight diet isbetter for digestion it will defintely be better for the babies also. There is nothing worse than a colicy baby. lol! Now I am just now trasitioning to a daylight diet and I still get hungry at night so I eat a peice of fruit or make some green juice to hold me over.
seems like nursing moms should be exempt from the day light diet.
yah to all the breastfeeding moms!!!!
When they start to bite and think it’s funny, it’s time to stop.
I also carry my babies and use cloth and chlorine free diapers and all the other things. But my 8 month old has been eating some foods for a while. She eats bananas, avocado, tomatoes, basically all the soft fruits. I do not recommend to start on grains it causes exema if given too soon. Start with fruits. she has also had some seaweed. She likes it. She also loves green smoothies.
I don’t believe there is any reason to breastfed beyond the age of 4. I say that cause after that the composition of the breastmilk changes to the point to where it not beneficial to the child nutrient wise. I am speaking as a mother who is now nursing my 3rd baby. I went past the age of 1 with all my children and I don’t think its benificial to go past 4. My husband was breastfed till 3yrs so I do believe in going past 1 but not going past toddlerhood.
I don’t agree with the first lady. If you’re going to let the child decide solely when to wean off breastfeeding, then the mother doesn’t show any selfrespect. I don’t believe breastfeeding kids up to 5 years is a good thing..1 to 2 years shouls be enough
robb wolf has been using gluten-free paleo type diets for years to help people, give his website a look if you’re interested. Free podcast/blog, can’t go wrong
. Gluten-free is extremely easy to do (but I’m in the Uk, it may be slightly easier here), you just have to know what to avoid and it becomes completely normal
I’m coeliac and like your point about trying to do one meal at a time. For us the worst was working out what to eat for breakfast, but organic, free-range eggs and gluten-free cereals feel like a treat every day now!
Thanks for an informative and helpful video.
thank you – I am so glad to have found this video today-
I have wondered for a few years about our need to be gluten free-
for myself & my children… but interestingly my husband age 58 just diagnosed finally with autism spectrum disorder….. which I suspected since we married 8 years ago -after living with him
we will give this diet thing a try maybe… even for someone who is 58 we can help his life improve
YOU CANT CURE AUTISM…..IM REALLY FED UP OF THIS RUBBISH, IM AUTISTIC I DONT NEED A CURE I NEED UNDERSTANDING AND SUPPORT.

@DckTrcy Thank you for posting your feedback!
This Mother is beautiful and speaks so calmly, informatively, doing what we parents are supposed to do, parent appropriately. Yes, it takes time, energy, effort. But who else’s job is it? Thank you for posting. Full of practical information.
Thank you! I found you at just the right time. You have given me such hope. I can’t tell you how grateful I am that you have shared this information. I am so happy for you and your family.

great video holly
@ 8:11 is the best statement of the video!!!
very helpful
I like her recommendation that the entire family go gluten free, MANY people are sensitive to it and simply don’t know it. I was diagnosed with MS 5 years, stopped eating gluten and my MS symptoms disappeared. Gluten sensitivity is implicated in many autoimmune diseases.
@queenjaded You bet! Glad you like it!!!
