feeding baby solids–: I thought 6 months was ok to start feeding a baby solids??
My dr. told me to wait until 6 months to feed my baby solids. But some people have told me that is too early. Is this true?? I thought the American Association of Pediatrics said that 6 months was ok? I just posted a question regarding solids and another person said that 6 months was too early to start feeding solids.

my daughter just turned 4 mo old, she is a breastfed baby and is in the 95 percentile for her hight and weight she weighs 19 pounds and is 25 in long. she can sit up with support, hold her head up, and close her mouth over a spoon. I think that she is ready for solid foods, but my family and friends are giving mr a hard time about still breastfeeding her and starting solids, they say she’s going to get too fat. They seem to think that i should stop nursing her, because she is big…we both enjoy nursing….what should i do? Im going to get her doctors oppinion, i was just curious what u think

My son is 7 months old, I have given each type of veggie, now we are doing fruits. I am curious to see if I should give him a veggie w/ the fruit or just do fruit throughout the day. my baby is 4 months and i think i will introduce him to food when i get some signs that he is ready..and i want him to get more milk
