Question–: Where can I get BeechNut coupons?
My son eats a lot of BeechNut baby food but I never see any coupons for them. Does anyone know where I can get them? I have tried their website, but I never received anything.

beechnut baby food–: When should i intoduce stage one food to my baby?
Totally confused! OK. My baby is 16 weeks! Yay! But, all the old school people like my mom, grandma, some older women I work with all say I should’ve started him on rice cereal at 2 months. I wasn’t comfortable with that. Then a lot of the baby food labels say 4 months on their stage 1 foods I.e. beechnut® earths best® and gerber®… still not sure if I AM ready to risk it… but then some “experts” say never before 6 months… who should I listen to?

Anyone buy the Beechnut baby food with WIC? In the phamplet it says only single fruit varieties only and it only lists Applesauce, Pears and Bananas. I always wondered about Mango and Peaches because those are single fruits. Anyway, the other day I realized I accidently got 2 jars of peaches, I must have thought they were Squash because they look the same. But it went through at the register. Anyone else ever get peaches or mango?

Yes, the FDA allows certain amounts of bug parts, rodent hairs, feces, etc. into your food but in small quantities these things are natural and fairly safe. I have been unable to find out how much of these natural contaminants are allowed in things like Gerber and Beechnut baby food but just know that these things ARE allowed in our food and they DO NOT have to label it. You might buy a can of mushrooms and it just says “ingredients: mushrooms, water” but there are actually maggot parts allowed in.

I’m not saying there is anything wrong with buying premade baby food (I did use some myself) but it seems to me that making your own baby food is not only cheaper, but you can inspect the produce before you use to to insure its not full of maggots, rat hairs, etc.

To make this into a question: Were you aware of these things? And do they bother you?

Its no reason to panic, we ingest this stuff everyday. I just think its a good thing for everyone to know what they are ingesting so that they can try to avoid these things if they so choose.

Please star this if you want other moms to get a heads-up on what the FDA is allowing their babies to eat.
I have to agree with DYOT that formula is a much bigger concern than some rat poop. I personally never used formula and wouldn’t use it so it never concerned me but my nephew was formula fed and I worry about his and other babies’ safety.
