Q&A–: Thoughts on a child backpack harness?
I have use of 1 hand. I have 2 boys ages 1 and 2. My 2 year old doesn’t need to be in a stroller all the time. He loves to go for walks with mom and dad and explore. But when dads not with us it’s hard for me.. Pushing a stroller and walking w my oldest whether he gets in between me and the stroller and helps push his brother, or holding my weak hand. (which he’s stronger than) he’s a very good boy about walking like that but a little puppy or monkey bookbag harness would make us much easier/ safer which is my priority!! I was just wondering thoughts on them. As I know pol in the neighborhood not knowing us will talk.

I will be traveling abroad with my husband & baby.
The bags I will have are :
2 backpacks for baby stuff and documents,cash etc
1 laptop bag
3 BIG boxes (to be checked in)
How do we move them around
>>from the parking lot,
>>in the airport between transits etc

My baby needs to be held,she will NOT be in a stroller.
Do you have any ideas or suggestions?

I am trying to figure out how to do this. I have a Moby Wrap and on the site it shows that you can use it with two babies.

I will be carrying two 11 month olds and one small Zooper Salsa stroller and Petunia Pickle Bag but it turns into a backpack.
Oh I am going to Downtown Seattle. I have only traveled there with my daughter and not another child.

backpack stroller–: The Maclaren Quest or the Combi Flare stroller to travel with?
I’ve been researching these two strollers so long I’m getting a headache. But I need to make a decision pretty quick.

So we’ll be traveling internationally with 3 children in tow. The youngest is 4, and prefers to walk, but we’ve always taken a stroller along just in case she falls asleep. I can use the stroller to cart all our backpacks and carry-ons around the airport if she’s not in it. We currently have a Peg Perego Aria, and it works great. Except that it folds up very wide, and it’s cumbersome to carry in that position when we’re on a crowded bus. So I’m determined to get a umbrella stroller for this trip.

My main priorities in an umbrella stroller are that it has a 55 lb weight limit and recline (in case both she and her sister suddenly get jet lagged), and it has to be under 12 pounds (so I can carry it easily). The only two strollers I can find that fit within those criteria are the Maclaren Quest and the Combi Flare (also known as the Savvy). The Combi is a lot less expensive, but the Maclaren has much more rabid fans. The Quest folds thin and compact like a traditional umbrella stroller. The Flare has a 3-second tri-fold, which ends up being a bit wider than traditional umbrella folds. Both have carry straps.

If you were traveling with a lot of unfolding, folding, carrying and packing of your stroller, which one would you go with?

I hope that I don’t sound stupid, but I’d like to work in an area which has very scarce parking. If parking spaces are available, they can cost around -20 hours a day! There is some parallel parking available, but they are very hard to find, and during morning hours, motorists hate to slow down and allow other vehicles to parallel park. If I want to work downtown, I’d have an infant and a toddler to take on the bus or train. I’m trying to visualize a baby in my front carrier while carrying a backpack styled diaper bag with two kids’ belongings and holding my tots hand on a crowded bus. How do people do it? Suppose there aren’t enough seats and my lil tot has to sit apart from me? I’d like to bring a stroller with me on the bus, but I’m trying to imagine collapsing my stroller while my toddler doesn’t run away………Only to pick up the stroller with one hand, pull out my bus pass, and hold my toddler’s hand while trying to compete with other passengers who are getting on the bus. How do public commuters do it?
