Question–: Making my own baby food for the first time, any tips?
I have decided to start making my own baby food for my 8 month old.. stage 3 baby foods are too runny/watery. He is starting to eat a few graduates foods and a little table food. I want to start making his veggie and fruit purees not so runny/watery ..this will be my first time, any hints or advice you can offer? Thank you so much!

My baby boy will be six months on the 19th so we’re looking at starting him on solids pretty soon. I always assumed that baby’s first food would be baby cereal but the more I look into it the more it seems like that’s not the best choice. I’ve read lots of things that suggest that cereal just provides empty calories and not enough protein. However, I have a family history of allergies and I know that cereal is unlikely to cause a reaction.

Q&A–: Is avocado a good first food for baby led weaning?
I am no asking for opinions on baby led weaning itself. Just asking if avocado is a good first food?
My son just turned 6 months and has been eating mashed avocado with breast milk and loves it. But I want to try BLW and allow him to fed himself.
Do I need to do anything to the avocado first, besides cutting it into spears for him?
