I know you can get formula with WIC but I’m not signed up for it yet. I was wondering if anyone knew if you could buy it with foodstamps. I’m sure you can but I just want to be sure.

Question–: should I buy baby food now?
I have a 3month year old baby and I was just wondering if I should start buying the baby food before she can eat it at all cause I have heard that it can stay good for 1year not opened and if I did start buying it now before she could eat it then I may have a lot were I may not have to buy any baby food for the first year or two of her life and the only and the only time I would start buying it now is when she need wipes or diapers and I was just wonder is this a good ideal to be doing at 3months old for now.
and if I do start buying baby food now how much should I buy before she can eat it and plz give number and I know she will be eating baby food just for a couple of months before she can eat solid food for the rest of her life.

Sure, if you want to you can buy baby food whenever you want…it’s really up to you.
Don’t go crazy though. She won’t be eating pureed baby food for long and it won’t be in large amounts. Btw 9 and 12 months she should start eating normal table foods.

No and they don’t need baby food after a year. Actually they never do if you do the baby-led weaning method. At one year they should not be eating baby food though. I wouldn’t start yet. My 6 1/2 monh old just started eating foods a couple of weks ago and he eats table foods

You shouldn’t start a baby on solids until they are about 5 months, check with your doctor/ childcare nurse.
Sure, have a few cans of purred fruit or some baby cereal in your cupboard if it makes you feel better to ” be prepared” but unless you are miles and miles from a store, once your bub goes onto solids, you can start buying them more regularly as you need them when you do your grocery shopping.

Up to u. But u can only try 1 kinda food & use it for 2 to 3 days to make sure no allergic reaction & ONLY baby food for 1 yr.m

If your on Food Stamps then you can get on WIC as well and they will take care of the Formula and Baby cereal as well and Juice for your child. Even if you can get the Formula with the food stamps why when you can get W.I.C. for your child and use the Food stamps for the rest of the family. WIC helps for mothers and children up to the age of 5. Check out the website below.
