Q&A–: What’s the best stroller, for a newborn and toddler?
I have a 10 month old, and I’m pregnant, I want to buy a double stroller, since I dont have a car, so it has to last long. she will be 18 months when the baby is born. I would like a lightweight , but it has to be stroller for a newborn, or at least able to put a car seat and for my soon to be toddler. any ideas? what worked best for you?

I got the Graco Quattro Tour Duo and I love it!!! I’ve had it for over a year now. My kids are 17 1/2months apart. It has a 20percent smaller fold and can hold a 50pound toddler. A lot of other double strollers don’t have high weight limits like this one. Plus the basket underneath is huge!

My first suggestion would be the Baby Trend Double Sit N Stand Deluxe. This one has two seats that you can get an extender for the front seat for an infant car seat, and a back seat that is removable for an older child. This stroller could last you for a few years because your older child will still be able to stand on the stroller when they outgrow their seat. You can find one at target.

My second suggestion would be the BOB Revolution Duallie Stroller. This is more in jogging stroller form. It does have a front swivel wheel so it would be appropriate for both shopping and being outside active. You can get an extender for an infant car seat and each seat holds up to 50lbs individually! This would be really good if you are out and moving around a lot and do a lot of exercising. It is a side by side stroller. It would get slightly big if you live in a city with not a lot of space.You can find one at babies r us

My third suggestion would be to go for Bumbleride Indie Twin stroller. This can also take an adapter for an infant car seat. It is also a side by side model and is a little bit smaller than the BOB. You can find this one at babies r us too.

My last suggestion would be to go for the Chicco Trevi Twin Stroller. This is a side by side model but doesn’t fit an infant car seat. It does recline however so you could start using it as early as 2 months. This would be my first choice because after using various brands of strollers (graco, evenflo, baby trend etc…) this was the easiest to maneuver. I used an infant carrier for the first few weeks and then put the baby into the stroller with the toddler. It was easy and has lasted longer (4 and 2 now) because it holds higher weight limits and is appropriate for older children. You can find this at babies r us too.

I used a Graco double stroller. the front is for the toddler he can sit up and the back lays down so a newborn/infant can lie in it, it also will go up as the baby grows and can be used for both in sitting positions, then when the toddler is too big for the stroller, the front can be used by the baby and the back can fold down and be used for storing the diaperbag or extra clothes or really anything else that you do not want to carry.
