This week I show you how to make a shopping cart cover out of fleece. It’s quick and easy and a great beginner project! These covers are great to keep your babies and toddlers away from all the nasty little germs on shopping cart covers. The fleece provides a soft and comfortable sitting surface and my instructions also include two holes to pass the seat belt through. Please post pics of your finished projects on our facebook page at: www.facebook.com Check me out at: Website/Blog: www.craftygemini.com Facebook www.facebook.com Twitter: www.twitter.com Online Shop: www.craftygemini.bigcartel.com Voicemail for tutorial suggestions 73-CRAFTY-73 / (732)723-8973

THANK YOU soooo much I have been wanting to make one of these for my child for a while and almost went out to buy a pattern and was dreading cutting out all the pieces of the pattern and following all the crazy directions. You made it so simple and affordable, I am now motivated to do this project instead of dreading it.:) Thank you!;)
@wantingriches789 Thanks so much!

THANK YOU!!!! I was searching for a cover tutorial. I have a pattern from Simplicity but I have found I do much better work from tutorial type instructions. Thank you so much for making this so easy, and I love your idea of the pin holder. I have one of those glade things around here somewhere
@beingv Hahaha… yup! Good eye! I like them because it’s more like a cup and not as flat as the magnetic pin holders.
Great video… I don’t have any little ones, but what I did learn is that I can use my magnetic tealight candle holder to keep pins in! I have two of the same one you used in your video… Great idea!
@StarofParis Thanks! At the end of the video I show you another version I made with 100% cotton fabrics and I mention including a layer of batting in between so it can be fluffier and a lot softer to sit on for the baby. But it will definitely work. You don’t need the fabric to stretch if you have the elastic edge. That’s what needs to stretch over the cart. You should be fine.
Hi,
I really like your tutorials! This is a project I really want to make for the baby but I wanted to ask if you think 100% cotton fabric will work. My concern is that it’s not as stretchy as fleece and its thinner too. So, I’m not sure if it will work, what do you think???
Thanks-really great tutorial!!!
your sun is cute
i don’t have no baby’s
@tweetnes Thanks!
) I don’t sell my creations anymore because I just don’t have the time to make the project more than once or twice.
