I’d like to start a small business selling baby products online. What do I need to do to become a vendor of strollers, like Peg Perego, Bugaboo, and Baby Jogger? Is there a vendor contact at these companies, and how do get a hold of them? Thanks for any help.

Once you have your business legally set up you can contact each business to see if they will let you buy directly or if you need to purchase through a distributor. Often larger companies don’t sell directly to small companies until you can produce a significant volume of business for them.
For starters you may try dropshipping services like Doba.com and others. You may have to pay a monthly fee for their services, but this will allow you to avoid keeping inventory until your business is sufficiently large.

We are looking at the Baby Jogger double strollers, for light walking on and off road, vacations etc. with our 17 month old twins. We like the City Elite’s features but it seems heavy at 38lbs. Anyone have any experience with it vs the City Classic?

I don’t recommend the new Baby Joggers as much as the older ones before Baby Dreamer (or whatever) bought them out, if I were you I’d look for the Baby Jogger II models on CraigsList, the tires can easily be replaced since they are bike tires, the whole thing is sturdier, and in general awesome (I have put 1,000+ miles on mine so far and it’s still working great). The older model weighs about 20lbs, holds up to 150lbs (75 each side) and works like a dream.

I don’t really care for the newer Baby Jogger strollers either. I got an InSTEP Suburban Safari at nttp://www.joggerstrollersonline and I love it. You can lock the swivel wheel for jogging and unlock it around town.

I happen to LOVE a few of the new Baby Jogger items, specifically the City Mini. I’ve never seen a cooler folding feature (and it folds tiny). If you’re looking for an all terrain walker that also travels well on vacation … I’m not sure there is a better option.
