i used four jars a day for my twins and it cost anywhere between 75.00-85.00 a month it depends if you are bying stage 1 or stage 2 or stage 3 but i have bought alot in the past couple years so i would use anywhere from 2-300 cans a months

Go to your local grocery store or check their ads on line, price babyfood jars, and do the math. If this is for a health project, I’m sure the teacher expects you to do you own homework.

3rd food jars are 89cents a piece so, .80 a day a 12 month old will eat 1.5 jars of 3rd foods a day at most maybe more then that. if you go by 4 jars a day then .89 x 30 = .70

It would also be more expensive if you decided to buy organics. And I don’t know if its relevant, but you could think about what it would cost for someone to make their own baby food (we did that and it saved a lot of money).

Depending on how much you got. The formula I get would cost about 792 dollars a year. That is a can 3 times a month for 12 months.
Edit- That is the new formula I am using for the first 5 months I spent 5. So I will be using this new formula for another 7 months so it will cost 2. So all together I will spend about 7 on formula.

It honestly depends on what type of formula and babyfood the person would be buying. I’ll tell you mine though.
Formula ( parent’s choice-gentle ) ( It’s something, but I’ll estimate it at ) Around 0 a year.
Baby food. I use Natures Goodness ( around 50cents ) Around 0 a year.
That’s using the cheapest Formula & Babyfood that I can find here in this town. It may not sound like a lot, but buying it weekly is!

I know nothing about formula, as I breastfed, but have dealt with baby food. I can’t recall amounts for 6-8 months, but it cost me 5 per month PLUS snacks and cereal from months 9-12. Altogether, I probably spent about 0+ on baby food in the first year – and I didn’t introduce solids until 6 months.

Formula it varied from .00 – .00 lasts about a week.
so that’s 2.00 – 04.00 a year
Food starts at about .00 for farex a box starting at (6mths) lasts about 1 week. from 9-10mths maybe 2 a week. So that’s about .00 Then you can also make your own food eg mashed pumpkin and potatoes and greens. That will save some money. I guess it all depends on what you want to feed it and what price range your willing to buy but at a guess your looking at at-least 0.00

Achually today for my child development class we did a worksheet on how much formula is for the first year. It was based on the average cost of a 23 ounce can being .25
Assuming that a 1-3 month baby would take in 15 ounces a day it would be 1,350 ounces for 3 months which would equal 0.23 for the first 3 months
Assuming that a 4-6 month baby would take in 25 ounces it would be 2,250 ounces costing 1.00 for months 4-6
Assuming that a 7-9 month baby would take in 30 ounces plus cereal it would be 2,700 ounces costing 7.00 for months 7-9
Assuming that a 10-12 month baby would take in 32 ounces plus cereal it would be 2,880 ounces costing 3for months 10-12
So the total would be ,662 for the first year (not including any cereal)
